Cardinal Tutorials College Counseling
A student’s ability to communicate effectively is the number one predictor of academic excellence. Success in IB, AP, or A-Levels, and most importantly, university admissions, are largely based on applicant's ability articulate their thoughts, as the quality of these thoughts is only as strong as the quality of their language.
With this in mind, Jake Anderson founded Cardinal Tutorials after being inspired by one-on-one instruction from Oxford faculty. Based on Stanford's structured argumentation style and Oxford’s stylistic tutorial system, Cardinal Tutorials coaches students between the ages of 15-18 who want to study and later work in the US and UK through its three-tiered options. Depending on a student's age, Cardinal Tutorials will guide your child through university applications to the US and UK and transform your child's communication skills necessary to succeed in the English-speaking academic and professional world.

About Jake Anderson, Founder of Cardinal Tutorials
My name is Jake Anderson. After graduating from the American School of Barcelona, an international school, I was admitted to Stanford University, and graduated with a degree in International Relations. Besides also being admitted to Yale, UC Berkeley, UCLA, Michigan, and Virginia, among others, I was offered several scholarships, such as the Trustee Scholarship at USC and the Gabelli Scholarship at Boston College.
While at Stanford, I interned at the European Parliament in Brussels and studied abroad at Magdalen College, University of Oxford, where I completed my tutorial in Victorian Literature and received one-one-one instruction from Oxford faculty. My experience as a student within the Oxford's Tutorial system inspired me to start Cardinal Tutorials and teach in the tutorial style. While not working with Cardinal Tutorials, I coach the Spanish National Debate Team, which competes in the World Schools Debating Championship.
